VINCENT CROSBY
Vincent Crosby is an artist specializing in the design and execution of quality pieces for the Liturgy. He did undergradute studies as a sculpture major at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. After a year of independent studies in Rome, he went on to earn an M.F.A. in Fibers and Fabrics from the Catholic University in America. Since then he has dedicated his life to serving the Church as a Liturgical Artist.
As an artist Vincent is concerned not only with fulfilling ritual requirements but also, and perhaps even more so, with revealing meaning, capturing imagination and pointing to the Mystery of Faith. In ritual celebrations it is not only the ministers who need to be vested well. The objects used are also worthy of reverence. For that we reason we should take great care to dress the altar, veil the vessals, drape the Cross, adorn the walls and cover the books.
This is not a mere exercise in "ecclesiastical interior decoration". It is an essential outward manifestation of Faith.
